Psychology is the science that seeks to understand behavior and
mental processes. This course is an introduction to the biological
basis of behavior and mental processes. Topics include the
history of psychology; research methods; structure of the nervous
system; motivation; sensory systems; perception; attention and
consciousness; conditioning; memory; language. Grades are assessed with
in-class exams and written assignments.
