Meeting Day and Time:  M, W, 1:25-2:15 + Labs

Course Description and Content: Course covers basic information
about apparel and household textiles with emphasis on fiber
properties and production, yarns,  fabric construction and
finishes.  Historical development, standards, quality, legislation
and developing technology are covered.

Two lectures per week, one seventy-five minute lab per week.

Required Texts and Readings: Kadolph, Langford, Hollen, Saddler;
Textiles, MacMillan, 7th ed.Swatch Set, Test Fabric Consultants
Lab Manual, (printed locally)

Outline Course Requirements: Four exams, weekly questions, lab
report, weekly lab quizzes, swatch test, mini research project and
final exam.

Other Comments: Need textile product to be tested and swatch kit (as
mentioned above).
