Experimental study in design and construction of apparel, utilizing
a variety of fabrics and couture construction techniques.
Required Texts and Readings: Wolff, Colette. The Art of Manipulating
Fabric , Krause, 1996.
Outline Course Requirements: Three major projects will be completed
during the semester in order to learn how to work with knit
material, sheer fabric, and how to handle medium weight woven fabric.
Other Comments: A sample book of twenty sewing techniques will be
completed, emphasizing couture construction techniques.
