Course description: Structure and function of DNA, RNA and proteins.

Topics covered in this course include (1) Chemistry of nucleic
acids; (2) Structure of DNA, RNA and proteins; (3) Mechanisms of DNA
replication, recombination, transcription, RNA processing and
translation; (4) Gene regulation in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes
and (5) Techniques in molecular biology.
