This is a distance learning course offered through two-way
interactive video. You may attend class at IU in-Bloomington, IUPUI
in Indianapolis, or USI in Evansville. This course will examine the
management, supervision, and leadership of early childhood programs
that serve children from infancy through age eight within the
framework of planning, implementing, and evaluating programs of
various sponsorship and purpose. Topics will include program
philosophy, goals, curriculum, leading and managing staff, ethics,
professional development, physical facilities, finance and budget,
family and community relationships, government regulations, and
accreditation systems, in addition to other relevant administrative
topics.  Graduate students, early childhood program administrators,
and anyone interested in leadership of early childhood programs is
encouraged to be part of this class. The course is typically offered
every other spring semester, so the next time to take the course
will be Spring 2009!
