This course reviews the research and applications involved in the
husbandry and well-being of captive exotic animals frequently located
in zoos and aquariums. Class discussions will focus on the basic and
applied research conducted in zoos, aquariums, and other facilities
that maintain a diverse array of wild animals.  Examinations of
abnormal behavior, the use of enrichment, human  animal interactions,
conservation efforts, and reintroduction of various wild species are
just a few of the topics that will be discussed.
