Second Language Studies | Second Language Acquisition Research Design
S533 | 25631 | Dekydtspotter, L

S533 examines how to fruitfully conduct research on second
languages. We will consider various elicitation and experimental
tasks appropriate to various areas of investigation and research
questions. We will focus both on the appropriateness of task design
to the research question and on data interpretation: the coding and
reporting of data, analysis (including statistics) and conclusions.
Students will gain experience in designing and carrying out studies
in their area of interest.
