The focus of this course is on diversity in sexuality from a
sociological perspective.  We will explore the behavioral and social-
psychological aspects of a range of human sexual variations, focusing
primarily but not exclusively on sexuality in the United States.  We
will examine the intersections of sex, sexuality, and gender; the
experiences of sexual minorities; cultural attitudes and scripts
regarding sexual  behavior; medicalization; unusual sexual practices;
and pornography.  Lectures,  readings, discussions, films, and one or
more guest speakers will provide a  multi-dimensional overview.
Course material includes sexually explicit imagery and  language.
