An examination of the role of the stage manager in music based art
forms.  Techniques, rules, and regulations that are specific to
opera, musical theatre, ballet, concert, and modern dance production
are explored and discussed.  Students also look at the current
issues in these industries and research topics pertinent to the
state of the industry today.  The course includes guest lectures
from people in the field to discuss the role of the stage manager
and how they uniquely impact and support the performers and creative
teams in each art.
