Advanced Workshop in Literary Translation

Prerequisite: C581 or instructor consent


This class provides an overview of advanced techniques, issues, and
practices in literary translation.  The focus will be on hands-on
workshopping of translations from a variety of languages, periods,
and genres.  Students will develop a substantial translation project
over the course of the semester.
