Fine Arts | Early Netherlandish Painting
A437 | 25226 | Rothstein

This course will treat of major themes in fifteenth-century
visual culture. These include the uses of resemblance, portraiture
and the display of status, economies of religious expression, and
competition among media.
As the last point should indicate, we will discuss not only
painting but also dramatic productions, parades, prints, and
sculpture.
