HISP-S 326 Introduction to Hispanic Linguistics (3 credits)
Prerequisites: S310 or equivalent.
This course introduces the basic concepts of Hispanic linguistics
and establishes the background for the future application of
linguistic principles. The course surveys linguistic properties in
Spanish, including phonology, morphology, and syntax. Additional
introductory material on historical linguistics, language
acquisition, semantics, and sociolinguistics will be included. This
course carries N & M credit.
