Description:  This seminar will examine experimental literature into
the nature and structure of second language sound systems, with an
eye toward surveying what is currently known about second language
acquisition and toward developing a cogent experimental research
design in the students' particular area of interest.  Topics will
include ranges of issues in perception and production, and the
system that links the two sets of abilities.
