Center For Neural Sciences | Neural Science II
N501 | 10304 | Sporns, Olaf

This course is the second half of a comprehensive introduction to
the broad field of neuroscience. The emphasis of N501 is a systems-
oriented view of neuroscience. Because of its interdisciplinary
nature, this course is team taught by faculty whose collective
background and expertise ensure coverage on a range of major areas
in systems neuroscience. N501 is divided into four sections each
taught by a faculty member closely associated with research in that
section.

This course will provide the necessary background for students to
pursue research and additional course work in neuroscience. The
level of course work, therefore, is aimed at students enrolled in
the Program in Neuroscience, as well as others whose research and
scientific interests involve the nervous system.
