Cognitive Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind - how
people perceive, process, remember, and use information. Some of the
topics surveyed in this course are perception, attention, memory,
concepts, visual imagery, language, problem solving, reasoning and
decision-making. Course meetings are primarily lecture-based but
liberally sprinkled with demonstrations. Laboratory homework
assignments give students the opportunity to try out for themselves
some of the classic experiments in the field.
