P411 | 25034 | Wellman, C.
Taught together with P526, prerequisites: P326 or P346
Comprehensive survey of the neural bases of learning and memory,
from the molecular to the systems level. Topics will include the
cellular and molecular bases of learning and memory, model systems
of nonassociative and associative learning, hippocampal
contributions to explicit memory, prefrontal cortex and working
memory, and basal ganglia and habit learning. The course will also
examine disorders in which problems with learning and memory feature
prominently, such as Alzheimer's disease, posttraumatic stress
disorder, and substance abuse.
