T283 is a hands-on production course in which students learn the
basic production techniques utilized in field and studio video
production. Technical areas covered include camera operation, shot
framing and composition, lighting design for the studio and field,
audio acquisition and design, editing with Final Cut Express, and
live editing with a switcher.

T283 has a lecture and lab component which students are required to
attend. Lecture meets once each week on Mondays 2.30 - 3.45.
Lectures will be used to administer quizzes and exams, to prepare
students for the lab exercises for the week, and to discuss larger
conceptual and aesthetic issues concerned with video production.
Lab time is used for hands on training.
