BUS P255 Business in a "Flat" World 2009 (3 cr.) In view of greater global integration
and interdependence in the economic, social, technological, cultural, political, and
ecological spheres, it is increasingly important to understand businesses in the "flat"
world. According to a Goldman Sachs report, in the next 40 years, the BRIC economies,
i.e., Brazil, Russia, India and China, together could become larger than the G6 nations.
In the context of globalization and increasing significance of the BRIC economies, this
course focuses on socio-political background as well as the business and its
institutional context in India, one of the BRIC nations. Specifically, this course will
focus on supply chain and information management in the context of the "flat" world.
