J534 is a continuation of J533 (Third-Year Japanese 1) and uses the
same textbook. Students will continue to develop the four critical
language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) as well
as cultural proficiency.

The class meets five times a week and all classes will be conducted
in Japanese. In three of the classes, students will be introduced to
new materials, and in two of the classes, students will practice
these materials.

Grading will be based on class attendance, participation and
performance, homework assignments, quizzes, tests, a final exam, and
any other additional assigned work.
