Course Goals/Description: Given the recent problems in the United
States economy, everyone is concerned with how to live a fulfilled
life in a small budget. This eight week course will examine the
influences on personal financial decisions, especially the
influences on college students. Each class will consist of two
parts: lecture/discussion of the topic and a practical application
of the topic. Topics may include: taxes, emotion, government,
poverty, budgets, and debt. The activities will be interactive and
will pertain to the college studentís everyday life.
