This course surveys the art of Europe and North America from around
1300 up to the late twentieth century.  You will learn to distinguish
period styles in art and architecture, in addition to understanding
how visual forms are bound up with their cultural, political, and
religious contexts.  Each week there will be two lectures and one
discussion section.
