Linguistics | Intro to Linguistic Analysis

This course introduces the basic tools and techniques of linguistic
analysis through problem-solving in the core areas of language
structure: phonology (sound structure), morphology (word structure),
and syntax (phrase structure). Students will learn to analyze
unfamiliar linguistic data from mostly unfamiliar languages while
developing skills in the construction of linguistic arguments and
gaining an appreciation of similarities and differences among the
worlds' languages.
