This course has two principal goals.  The first is to provide an
introduction to a number of fundamental philosophical problems drawn
from various branches of philosophy.  The second is to develop the
philosophical skills, and more generally the critical and
argumentative skills, of those enrolled.  The topics that are most
likely to be covered included: existence of God, belief in the
external workd, standards of morality, free will, and death.
