Prerequisite: consent of instructor, online application

Recommended: TEL-T 366 Multiplayer Game Design

Description of the course: Focus is on massively-multiplayer online
games and virtual worlds. Students will advance their knowledge of
the design elements and production requirements necessary to create
and maintain online games. While studying the development and
gameplay issues in various existing and upcoming worlds, students
will be required to do hands-on work for one of the new virtual
worlds being developed in the Department of Telecommunications.

Course format: Class time will be a combination of lecture, workshop
and review.

Grading procedure: Grading is rigorous, based on attendance, class
participation, written assignments, quizzes and measurable
contributions to the virtual worlds.
