C361:
This course covers the Augustan Age, the period of Roman history that
produced the most renowned works of Latin literature, art, and
architecture. We will    focus on authors such as Livy, Horace,
Virgil, Ovid, and Propertius, and how their texts relate to their
cultural and historical context. We will also pay
extensive attention to the art and architecture of the period, as
well as studying the Roman household, urban space, political change,
and religious activity.
