P: L250 or equivalent. This is a translation course in the poetry of
Catullus, but will include also some wandering into other Roman
lyric. Students can expect to translate most of the corpus of our
author, including the memorable Lesbia poems. We will also be
exploring the social milieu that encouraged the poet and his poetry.
