Education | Hip-Hop and Education
U212 | 34201 | Sydney Rucker

Day and Time: MW 4-5:15
Room: TE 256

The course, Hip Hop and Education, is designed to examine the many
ways in which popular culture and academics interact. Sometimes,
these interactions are peaceful; however, as mainstream hip hop
becomes associated with violence and “ghetto” life, the connection
between these two areas becomes quite volatile. This course is
designed to address both the history and current issues of hip hop
and education in the United States.
