F582 introduces students to issues in the interpretation of French.
The course focuses on major interpretive phenomena in French and on
the nature of semantic representations as revealed by these
phenomena. The goal is to show how fairly simple assumptions made
precise by the tools of logical inquiry can reveal deep insights into
knowledge of French and related issues of language acquisition.
