East Asian Languages and Cultures | Third Year Japanese 2
J302 | 28758-7063 | Matsubara

These sections for undergraduate students only 4 credits
Prerequisite: grade of C or better in J301 or equivalent proficiency

J302 is a continuation of J301 (Third-Year Japanese 1) and uses the
same textbook. Students will continue to develop the four critical
language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) as well
as cultural proficiency.

By the end of the course, we hope students will be able to carry out
conversations in various situations, read and write about various
topics, and gain information about Japanese life style and customs.

The class meets five times a week and all classes will be conducted
in Japanese. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, students will be
introduced to
new materials, and on Tuesday and Thursday, students will practice
these materials.

Grading will be based on lecture attendance and drill performance,
homework assignments (including a class project), quizzes, tests, a
final exam, and
any other additional assigned work.
