COAS INTENSIVE WRITING SECTION

The emphasis in this section of L202 will be on close reading and interpretation.  We will spend
a good deal of time with poetry (because it is short and dense), but will also cover drama
(probably HAMLET and another play) and fiction (THE GREAT GATSBY  and another novel).
There will be four or five papers, with opportunities for rewriting each except the final one.
