Intermediate Mongolian II
The course aims to 1) continue expanding Mongolian grammar, especially in regard to syntax,
forming complex sentences, and express complex shades of mood and uncertainly 2) to increase
vocabulary by mastering word formation and binomes 3) to improve fluency by oral presentations,
participating in class discussions, and role playing in practical situations 4) to improve writing
with a journal 5) to improve pronunciation through in-class practice activities and through tapes
6) to begin practice informal translation and transcription.
Required Text: Mongol Khel surakh bichig.
Prerequisite: The completion of U461 or consent of instructor.
Days and Time: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 11:15-12:05.
