This course deals with the identification and description of
disease in prehistory.  Analysis of human skeletal remains is
stressed, but we will also discuss comparative pathology,
paleodemography, mummified tissues, and analysis of visual and
textual representations of disease. P:B200, B301, and permission.

1.  Seminar presentation on a topic in paleopathology, with
demonstration of specimens and techniques where appropriate,
and bibliography for distribution to class member
2.  Weekly written lab exercises weeks 2 through 8
3.  Weekly discussion of assigned readings
4.  Research project in oral, written form at last meeting May 7
