This course offers an introduction to the basic ideas of Greek
and Roman mythology.  The text used is Harris and Platzner's
Classical Mythology: Images and Insights.  There is about an
equal amount of reading in the analytical material and in the
reading of original texts such as Homer and the Greek tragedians.
The course is taught largely in a lecture format.  There are
three examinations.  Each one consists of fifty multiple-choice
questions.  The course grade is the average of the grades on the
three examinations.
