This course is designed as the second part of the graduate sequence in
international trade.  Its focus will be on analyzing strategic
situations in an international context.  As such the course
may also be of interest to students of game theory seeking to learn
more about its applications. It is also strongly recommended to
students in E685 (industrial organization).  Topics covered
include:  trade and the gains from trade with imperfect competition,
trade and the environment, trade policy with complete and incomplete
information, tariff and quota games, trade negotiations, political
economy of protection, foreign direct investment, regulation of
multinational enterprises.
