Topic: Roman Sculpture
This course will focus on Roman Sculpture from the late
Republic to the Constantinian Period (early first century BCD-
early Fourth century CE). It will be structured in a thematic
manner and will answer questions concerning sculptural techniques
and materials, artists and patrons, as well as the various types
and uses of sculpture in the Roman world.
Images will be available on a WWW home-age for study
purposes. In addition visits to the Indiana University Art
Museum and special guest lecturers will compliment this course.
