Topic: Modern Sculpture
A survey of the techniques and themes in European and
American sculpture since the Rococo era.  About half of this
chronological survey will be devoted to the 20th century.  Slide
lectures will be supplemented by field trips to quarries,
sculptors' studios, outdoor monuments and museums as well as
discussions about important issues such as public sculpture and
first amendment rights.
