S331 The Hispanic World I (3 credits)
P: S311 or equivalent (Note: Students may be concurrently
enrolled in S331 and S311). AHLA, CSA
This course serves as an introduction to the study of literature.
We will read 20th century Spanish American works, prose fiction,
poetry, drama, and essay. The social context of the works will
be an important consideration. The class is conducted in Spanish
and class participation is an important component of the grade.
There will be short papers, a mid-term, and a final exam.
