Description:

An introduction to Zulu, also known as IsiZulu, one of the predominant languages of South Africa. Zulu, spoken by approximately 7 million people, is a Bantu language very similar to Swahili. The study of Zulu provides an introduction not only to one of the major languages of Southern Africa, but also to an extensive traditional and modern literature, and to Bantu culture in general. Basic grammatical structures and vocabulary, Emphasis on the spoken language.

Prerequisite: F101 or equivalent proficiency in same language.

Each of these Zulu courses is the second part of a two semester course.
