Description:

This course provides an introduction to the structure of Bantu languages, focusing particularly on eastern Bantu. Topics to be considered include noun class systems, verbal morphology, and selected issues in phonology and syntax. Although the focus is on eastern Bantu languages, there will be some comparison of eastern and western languages.
