Philosophy | Introduction to Ethics
P140 | 3101 | Finkelstein

In this course, you'll be asked to read, talk, and write about morality, virtue, and
happiness. Among the questions that we'll consider are the following: What
makes an action morally wrong or right? Does morality depend on our
preferences? Does it depend on religion? Are we in a position to morally assess
the behavior of people from cultures that are very different from ours? Must
immoral behavior be irrational? What connection is there between morality and
happiness?

Your grade will be based on class participation, weekly quizzes, two short
papers, and a final exam.
