This class will equip the student with techniques and tools for evaluating
propositional arguments using a formal logical language.  We will cover
translation of arguments into logical symbols, proof techniques using these
symbols, the formal conception of validity, etc.  In addition, this class has the
practical benefit of helping students organize their thinking and writing with
greater efficiency and clarity.  This is an excellent course for those who want to
go into law, business, medicine, or any of the traditional humanities or sciences.
