This is an introduction to theories about the relationship between the
international political and economic systems. Lectures and readings
will deal with the concepts used in research on international
political economy (IPE). Grades for the course will be based on the
midterm (25%), a paper (25%) and a final examination (50%). Classroom
participation and extra credit projects will be taken into account in
borderline cases.
The following books will be used: Joan Spero and Jeffrey Hart, The
Politics of International Economic Relations, 5th Edition; Robert O.
Keohane and Helen Milner, Internationalization and Domestic Politics.
