This is a one semester 3 credit hour course that describes the
Universe. The purpose of this course is to introduce you to one of
the oldest and one of the most modern of the sciences. It studies the
Earth as a planet, satellites, and comets, the sun, properties of
stars, stellar systems, extragalactic objects, the nature of the
observable universe. There is one required text for this course.
This course fulfills the natural and mathematical science
requirements. Credit is not given for both A100 and A110 nor for both
A105 and A110.
