AHLA P: F100, F101, and F102, or consent of instructor.  Introductory course for exploring
metalworking and jewelry design as a serious form of creative expression. Focuses on the basic
techniques of piercing of metals, soldering, sheet metal construction, surface embellishment,
mechanical joining, wire forming and forging, stretching of sheet metals and various metal
finishing techniques.   Students registered for Fine Arts courses who do not attend the first class
meeting or contact the instructor, may lose place in course to electronically waitlisted students.
Students interested in closed Fine Arts courses must add themselves to the electronic waitlist and
either attend the class or contact the instructor.  Priority for admittance into the course will be
given to students who have made the effort to attend and/or contact the instructor.
