"The topic for the course will be Caesar's Alexandrian War at the end
of his conflict with Pompey in 48-47 B.C.

Students will read selections from Caesar and his lieutenant Aulus
Hirtius, with discussions of the historical context and importance of
the Civil War to Roman history.

Readings will be accompanied with grammar and vocabulary review, as
well as translations from English to Latin.
