This course provides an understanding of the development and growth
of the Graphic Design profession through readings, writing, and
practical exercises.  The history component of S250 traces the
growth of printed communications from early visual systems to the
birth of a graphic design profession.  The practical exercises lead
to the development of a concept to reach successful visual
