MODERN POLITICAL THOUGHT
This course is an ambitious effort to cover about four centuries of
political theory in six weeks.  Thinkers to be discussed include
Machiavelli, Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau, Burke, Mill, Marx, and
Nietzsche.  There will be a midterm and a final examination.
Students will also submit reaction memos for a selected number of
authors.
