S250 Graphic Design I


This is a general description based on an academic year semester.
It is intended as a guide.  Your instructor will provide you with
specific course requirements.

Prerequisite:  F100, F101, F102.

Drawing and perception in the history and practice of visual
communication, including a basic introduction to the field and
exercises with pencil, marker, computer, and other tools, to produce
symbols, letter forms, and symbol-letter combinations.

The application of color theory, perspective, basic drawing, basic
composition, basic typography, and combination of these elements for
the role of non-verbal communication.

The goals of the course are the development of basic visual and
craft skills used by the designer through fundamental exercises.

Attendance is required and will affect continuation in Graphic
Design.
