S461 Ceramics 3
Offered every semester, this is an advanced ceramics course.
Further opportunity to develop skills in handbuilding, throwing, and
glaze application. Demonstrations, slide presentations, and
individual critiques are all a major part of this class.
Special attention to design, craftsmanship, and content.
The purpose of the course is to increase you working knowledge of
ceramic t4echnical information and further practice in the use of
clay as a form of expression.
Assignments, Tests, and Grades: Self-initiated and instructor
initiated projects. Critiques: individual and group. Grades based
on attitude, attendance, content of work, craftsmanship, technical
competency, innovativeness, creativity, aesthetic quality of work.
