Philosophy | Introduction to Ethics
P140 | 4467 | McCrary

Course Description: This course will, broadly speaking, provide an
introduction to the branch of philosophy known as ethics. The first
material will prepare us for the rest of the session, giving us an
idea of both what we’re talking about when we’re doing ethics and
how to go about actually doing ethics. From there we will move on
to examine several important ethical theories, evaluating strengths
and weaknesses of each. We will then spend the second half of the
course focusing on the ethics of war, an area of both theoretical
and practical relevance.
